 “I have had ALS (Lou Gehrig’s) for thirteen years. I can’t talk or walk very well, so most people can’t understand me. I have had about fourteen CNAs from six home-care companies. I was having trouble finding someone until I went with Sherrie’s In-Home Care. Sherrie’s is by far the best company I have worked with. They call me when the weather is bad or if I’m sick to see if I need anything. They have a Christian Spirit about them and have never disappointed me. The CNA they provide me with is the best by far.  She is a great cook, housekeeper, and driver. She helps me with all my exercises. She has been with me for about two and a half years, and she is a great friend.”

They do all the items that need to be done on a weekly basis. They fix all my meals, clean the bathroom, make the beds, clean the house, water the plants outside when needed, and most of all take me in the car wherever I need to go (and wash all my clothes each week).

They are wonderful people and are always asking me if there is anything they can do for me, please keep these girls at my house. I look forward to seeing [a new caregiver] over the next few weeks..."

My husband’s main caregiver keeps my husband (who has mobility and cognitive issues) safe from falls. "Sherrie’s In-Home Care has been a blessing for our mom and our family. My brothers & I all live out of state and are unable to be there for our mom’s day to day care. Though still stubbornly independent at 98, our mom has memory issues and would not be able to stay in her home -her “happy place”- if not for the wonderful care Sherrie’s has provided. The caregivers are kind, attentive, patient, thoughtful and helpful in so many ways. They tend to her needs with compassion, making sure she eats properly, has her needed medications & fluids readily available, has clean clothes etc. and her home is clean and tidy. They’ve organized her refrigerator, closets and pantry, and have even helped her decorate for holidays. They know her so well that if she is having an “off” day they pay careful attention to whether she needs medical care or just rest & conversation. They notify new owner & nurse, Heather White whenever there are health concerns. A recent event required urgent care & several days in a hospital 30 minutes from town. Heather drove her to the facility & stayed with her until she had tests completed & was safely situated in her room. She kept in constant communication with us during Mom’s hospitalization. Her staff was able to stay with Mom around the clock. That made her stay much less stressful for Mom -and us! I can’t say enough good things about how grateful we are to have Sherrie’s. We absolutely depend on them.
